What happened to friction? o_O
-
May I ask a question? Everytime I go to service mode in the input test option, the acceleration says 59. The steering wheel is okay, but not the acceleration and brakes. Do you remember how it stays to zero other than 59?

Why is Bluto in this game for?
-
@wartax5 now i understand. in other words Turbo OutRun is a sequel bearing the OutRun name
-
@nascar241993 Sounds like "You're cruisin' pass this checkpoint."
-
@tapuzronko i went through the test menu and it is "you're in the lead as you pass this checkpoint..." i tried a dual mode and only the leader hears that. the 2nd player who passes after him doesn't hear it. :-) and i extracted the "dream flying" tune via audacity. try it as well if you want to :-)

@tapuzronko What does or doesn't make sense is irrelevant. It's apparent what is spoken is 'You're in the lead if you pass this checkpoint.', nuff said. As for music from the game, no I don't have it.
Is this a sequel to Outrun?

I guess the official sequel was Turbo OutRun (1989), so OutRunners is technically the 3rd arcade OutRun game.

@wartax5 actually Turbo OutRun, like OutRunners was a pseudo sequel to OutRun, and don't even get me started on the other offshoots like Battle OutRun and OutRun Europa. The true sequel came out in 2003 as OutRun 2

@figment1988 I'm aware the "true" sequel came out as OutRun2 (which is the official name, no spaces), however Turbo OutRun is the official sequel in terms of bearing the OutRun name even though I would say it's far from the original OutRun formula.
