    I just think that the cartoon characters represent those that are unaware of what is really going on in society. If you focus, you'd notice that the animated characters are; rolling dice, drinking and smoking, thus, indicating subconsciousness to the truth due to distractions. Furthermore, while Lupe is beside them kickin' knowledge, they're not even noticing him... that's just how I see it..
