"Breaking Away" is a Quiet, Little Gem! I was Born in 1980 and i Used to Watch this Movie while Growing up at my Grandma's House. Isn't Funny how a 'Movie' or 'Song' can Transport you Back through time as if it was Yesterday...? In Fact, I wish i Could Go Back through time Right Now and Marry 'Robyn Douglass'. She was 'Gorgeous' in this Film! Man o Man was She a FOX!

"Hey there. What's your major?"
"Well, we're a little disturbed by developments in the Middle East..."
"Don't forget your toothbrush! You're still in your cavity-prone years. "
"I sure miss playing basketball. I got depressed as hell when my athlete's foot and jock itch went away. "
I love Breaking Away. Daniel Stern's a big part of that.

@blkchk Mine too. I watch it like once/year. Love how he idolizes the Cinzano team so much he wants to be Italian and then when the cheat, his naivete is changed to disillusionment. Also, the way the four friends were all so different and unique. And subplot of Mike who was the great athlete and QB but didn't get the chance to go to the university in this college town and he said every year a new kid will be QB of the team and he just gets a year older... Such a good story.

@pattyfromtoledo I was in Toledo Ohio about 48 years ago. I dated a girl from 3028 Case Street Toledo 5. I swear it was just like "back to the future" because the whole family gathered round the black and white TV to watch Kennedy make his Cuba missile speach. I often wonder what happened to Janice Losie, she'll be about 65 now. Oh and more than that, my name is Martin and she used to call me Marty Lol

My wife is a fan too.
"Katalina!"
"I wish you a nice trip Kath."
"You too."
"But I'm not going anywhere."
"I don't know about that."
Breaking Away is one of my favorite movies. Still gives me goosebumps at the end and leaves me in tears at other parts. A True Classic.
