Having listened to both (with my eyes closed) I can say that this guy's version is more moving than Yo-Yo's. He is feeling it.

@Truecolors044 thats because this guy plays with all his heart and with feeling but not to offend anybody and im just stating MY opinion...but yo-yo ma just plays the song period... he doesnt play with his whole heart and you can hear the difference... some ppl in this world just play period... music was made for everyone who plays to play with their whole entire heart and to put emotions into it

I think most would disagree with you: the difference between a truly great, and a "just average" interpretation of a first-class composition is quite remarkable - and the same piece in the hands of two artists of different temperment and life-experience, can be nothing short of astounding at times!! At any rate, for most musicians, even the best of them, writing their own music is not in the cards - only a small percentage of even the best of musicians are capable of writing excellent music.
