Excuse me, I don't understand how a gas turbine works when installed in a tank. Specifically, how does it make the vehicle move? The hot air somehow or the transmission of the rotating movement of the turbine??

@fredwhittlesey yeah no kidding eh. what a retard. yeah listen to those uncontrolled explosions...thats the spark! pretty sure inconsistencies in the stoichiometry causes that noise...

I dont care what any of you goof balls say......I happen to think it was pretty cool!!!! GOOD JOB!!!! and THanks for the vid!

I like the way you all stand behind the thrust part of the engine and make the camera look into the thrust. What happens if it breaks up and showers you all with red hot stuff;))

Ah Rednecks :D

@fredwhittlesey "and hopefully we wont be so drunk" DAMNIT! Backyard engineering ALWAYS goes better with the brewskis...

Are you flying to the Fucken Moon???

Dude lite a fucken match
is that an old disposable cylinder for a combustion chamber?

@Rippey574 yes it is it worked for the trials and then we built a stronger one later and it worked much better.

Fail. You're not achieving a constant burn, you're relying on the spark plug to ignite the fuel constantly. whence the popping you can hear. You could have made it better and still not burnt it out with a bit of work.

wrong, it was a constant burn, the spark plug was only for the initial ignition, it was self sustaining combustion. and we built it in 10 hrs on a $0 budget.

and it was popping due to a lean fuel/air mixture, the combustion chamber wasnt really engineered, the next one will be engineered correctl, and hopefully we wont be so drunk
