Unfortunately, Pearl Jam is insignificant in America. You have to be Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga and such to garnish news coverage. Either that or they wait until something bad happens to someone and turn it into a nostalgic look into the past/send-off to a former significant artist who somehow lost their way out of the American Media spotlight. American Media loves tragedy. That, and whatever the tweens are buying because Wal-mart endorses it. Wal-mart controls the music in America. Thats tragic.

It was done for German people so why would they need subtitles. Were are the American news interviewing Pearl Jam? Why do I have to constantly have to go to other countries news sites for news on American stuff???.... Grrrrr!
The original interview in English can be found on 3sat's homepage, unfortunately i can't post the link here. look in google for 3sat de, mediathek, interview pearl jam.

ehm...no?!
For what reason should a German TV station use subtitles instead of a synchronization? Especially considering that 3sat is a station with rather old viewers that you can't assume to speak English.
