@yeagemk: I would say that if we only cared about athletic prowess, the sprint and kilo tt would be enough. Keirin is more than that, it is also about strategy and flair.

@TheFastTomi i'll admit, i don't really understand the sport, but that makes no sense to me...Isnt athletic prowess what everyone wants to see in this event?

didnt anyone notice he say Fuck yeah at :48?? LoL

Annoying point about British riders; if they're Scottish, Welsh or NIish then they play on this, when they're English nothing is said. Me being pedantic but it always niggles me...

whats up with the word pummeling? thx loveugodbless, t and j kabbalah matthewshepard madonnalicious
Chris Hoy may be faster, but I think the wins from other keirin giants like Hübner, Magné or Fiedler were more impressive and enjoyable.
Back in the days, they weren't slow, but I think the sport has lost some appeal with the increase of pure brute power of the top guys.

@TheFastTomi sure - Hübner in particular had panache and all sprints are fascinating in their own way - but you can't tell me there isn't something masterful and impressive about moving to the front so vehemently with more than 300m to go and riding without looking like you even expect to be beaten.

Watch out this little boy (azizul)... he's the next champion... I hope they will meet again in Final (sprint.)

Me too - superb to think of the tension that will build between Hoy and Azizul between now and London 2012 too... can't wait
