very helpful thank you so much, just one question in your video about preparing the molding sand , I was just wondering how much water do you add to the wall paper paste( which is 10g of the ?ml of water)? thanks please reply.

Maybe you should get a 3D-printer to make patterns or parts for patterns with fine detail. Check out reprap.org for an open source 3D-printer. I'm busy building one, and I'm keen on learning about casting. Thanks for the brilliant videos, they are very informative!
What level of detail can you get from casting in aluminium like this?

@ketilf With fine sand you can get good detail. If you look at my Aermotor video you can see the letters cast in the flywheel and on other parts of the engine.
