This is the best comment on CJ I've ever read. Yeah Dee Dee was a god for sure and wrote most of the classics but CJ was a fantastic replacement who brought the Ramones back to life and up todate. Saw 'em 9 times with CJ and they were the best live band on the planet. Just seen Mudhoney in London - and tho not like the Ramones musically their live attitude is very similar - brilliant.

CJ was a great replacement for Dee Dee who was bored with being a Ramone and was on and off of drugs constantly, CJ brought youth and vigor and a renewed sense of energy that Joey especially fed off of.He was a great bass player and really a fan of the Ramones which pured from him every performance, i was lucky enough to see him with them twice, which will always be the greatest live performances ive ever seen!
