From REFLECTIONS IN A GOLDEN EYE (1967):
Mix 1 Marlon Brando, 1 Liz Taylor, 1 Carson McCullers. Stir with a John Huston and you get this mismashed mess!
A truly 'bizzare' film fron the late 60's. Set on a military base in peacetime Georgia, the film was shot in Rome so Liz and Dick could avoid the Taxman. The plot: Liz is the oversexed (and oversized) wife of army brass chief Marlon Brando. The latter has an 'obsession' with a young
private leaving him little time for Liz. The private has a penchant for riding Liz's stallion --nude-- when he isn't in Liz' bedroom fondling her undergarments while she sleeps.
Liz, when she's awake, is carrying on an affair with the meloncholy major next door (Brian Keith). The major's depression stems from his feelings for his unstable wife, Julie Harris, who is recently released from a mental hospital where she went after cutting off her nipples with a pair of garden shears!
In this scene Anacleto, Harris homosexual houseboy relates a recurring dream. The flamboyant Fillipino's foot-fetish only adds to the delerium generated by this great "What were THEY thinking?" classic.
