the lack of discussion about diet composition greatly weakens your argument. not all calories are created equal. as an active individual, i have done calorie control with no effect but currently have been losing 2#/wk for 8 weeks since switching to a Paleo diet and have never felt better. exercise is important but not the main driver in western obesity. sugar and refined carbs are.
