Ron Paul beats Giuliani but loses to Fox News
OK, he didn't get the third place that Ron Paul said he thought his campaign might reach in Iowa. He got fifth, 10%. Which, as we noted earlier, is better than the 4% that Rudy Giuliani got. But then like most Americans, Rudy didn't put that much effort into campaigning in Iowa.

The next big test comes Tuesday in New Hampshire, where the libertarian-like license plate -- Live Free or Die -- gives Paulunteers hope they might score an even larger surprise. Everybody except good ol' boy Fred Thompson has put serious efforts into the Granite state.

  • Beating Guilani is and recieving 10% dispite an attempt to shut him out vs Mc Cain's 13%, is significant. Iowa polls showed him at 1 or 2%. The polls are wrong. No time to go into it. I do not see these results as disappointing, but in fact encouraging.

  • Ron Paul will do much better in NH. Huckabee will do much much worse in NH.

Much better to be going up, than down.

  • LOOK AT HIM NOW

  • You are retarted if you beleieve any polls!

  • He took 10% of Bush Voters my friend. He's the strongest anti-neocon alive. For him to get 10% of the Bush voters is a victory my friend.

  • Been following Paul for months now. He's getting more popular everyday, exponentialy. And this exclusion just helps our cause..which is..?

Take down the New World Order! And thats exactly what we need to do. Not Paul but all of us.

  • Iowa is a state with 68% approval of George W Bush whereas nationally Bush has about 32% approval. Thus on the onset, Iowa is not a friendly state to Ron Paul. Still, Ron Paul was within 3% reach of 3rd place, and among independents in Iowa, he won. There are a lot more independents in New Hampshire.

  • votes which is not money effort or phone calls

  • Ron Paul spent less time in IA than Julie-Annie.

    Ron's 5th place still earned him 2 delegates (to Julie-Annie's 0)

Ron's 5th place finish was within 3% of McCain and Thompson.

It is a long, tough, row to hoe, but we have traction. Our efforts are yeilding results - not enough results yet, but motion in the proper direction. More phone calls, more money, more effort. Dr. Paul has told us what he needs.

  • the sad thing about her bein a girl is exactly why she will get votes..

    same thing for Obama.

sorry to say people, but my nigga Ron Paul is the only loyalist to what he believes

  • inarag,

Results are surprising, Iowa has large agro business that is subsidized by the U.S. taxpayers. Dr. Paul is against subsidies and NAFTA. At this moment the cost of corn has plummeted as tariffs are lifted by NAFTA and U.S. corn is shipped south. Mexican farmers livelihood are whithering away. Mexicans who's lives are impacted by the American taxpayer subsidizing large corporations, hurting both Mexicans and Americans. Here comes another wave of poor Mexicans. Dr. Paul did great.
