A descendent of hemp farmers and curator of the Kentucky Hemp Museum & Library, Craig Lee knows hemp is a superior crop choice for cellulosic ethanol production - the next wave in eco-friendly fuels. Hemp hurds contain 70% cellulose. Also, hemp seed can be used for biodiesel and for food products. Craig points out that using hemp for ethanol will leave corn and soybeans to their best uses as food. Hemp is easier on the soil and uses far less water than corn. Any biomass or cellulose carbohydrate is superior to hydrocarbons (petrochemicals), because this year's living plants take up the carbon from last year's crop burning in your car. Also, there is no sulfur dioxide produced - no acid rain! Here's an article on cellulosic ethanol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulos...

to the realjamesbud ...do some more research man. You will find out the potential that this plant really has. It is the greatest and most beneficial plant this earth has. If i may point out that in the bible god says in the book of genesis that he has given man every green plant bearing seed for mankind to use for his benefit and when you think about that and the number of uses this plant has coupled with the situation our country is in and the legality of a plant ...Its a sad thing
Who the hell do you think are you talking to? Do more research? Kiss my ass! you do the research ,I've been there & done that check out my page & other videos. Maybe go to myspace & other pages of mine ! I've been in the drug war front for over a decade. Jack Herer & I met over 10 years ago. I have spent $100,000. s of my personal income to fight this war You really think you can educate me with Gen 1:29 . Maybe you should look at my playlist & offer me an apology.
The facts on this video are #1 what is the best use of all the 1000's of uses? Hemp for fuel to stop green house gas emmisions & halt global warming & or to use for food to end world hunger in a struggeling global economy. If you know a better use for Hemp than fuel & food then by god speak up.We know about plastics we know about it all because we work with the Hemp Industry & are on top of it. The war refference is just stating facts about the 2nd world war & how we used Hemp for victory.
@therealjamesbud You are the one that has a big misunderstandin. As knightnoctum said there are hemp plants that have virtually no THC. I even read that there are some that have no THC at all and they are still self sufficient and produce their own oils to protect them from pests and radiation. The hemp plant does not need much to grow. Only dirt and not even that much water is needed. It can even thrive in arid enviroments such as the sub-sahran. It also leaves the soil in a better state
Thank you - I did not know that. That sad is that there would mean a whole other market of tobacco smokers who want to get away from a toxic highly addictive smoke but still want to enjoy the occasional smoke without being really high for the next 3 hours. That would also mean that anyone could cook their own "medicinal" butter at home and avoid the unpleasant side effects of smoking, period. And we can't have THAT!
@DaveIrie Sure, but let's take it one step at a time, get the government into approving the use of hemp, and get it's use into industry, on a massive scale and in whatever way they see fit...

Who's your Daddy?
Then we can look to solve other problems later.
