creepy animal noise at night

Edit: This is in fact, just a regular fox. Turns out a couple of months later I finally did see the elusive animal as it crossed into the path of our floodlights. It's still sounds creepy as hell, but not nearly as bad now that I know what it is...

This is an animal of some type that we hear almost nightly in the Sparta area...it is definitely not an owl or bird, since I have heard it walking through the woods.

It does this non-stop incessant screeching and howling, almost like it is an injured animal. It came close to the house once, but Id never seen it.

It heard me open the slider and it took off, whatever it is, I think its big, and it is definitely fast.
Someone suggested a raccoon, but Ive never heard raccoons make this noise before.

I record this clip last night, not for the video but just the audio so people can try to figure out what the hell it is...

We live in northwest NJ...if anyone knows let me know

That is a fisher cat and they are cute to c but visious. They look like a seal but not. They eat any kind of animal,cats,dogs,rocoons,etc. That is a call and it means a few things and im sure u can guess by now! They do have a bad rep but there realy just like any other wild animal. Rased with humans from a baby could b lovable but in the wild very mean when have to b! THE FISHER CAT! look it up online to learn more. Id rather u find out more b 4 being afraid but keep ur cats and dogs in at nit
