Two clueless hipsters attempt to create a charity group for local artists.
So, this is the film my team (dogboydog) made for the Pittsburgh 2011 48 Hour Film Project. It was stressful and crazy and we turned it in late, but it was fun and we liked our film a decent amount at the end. I directed it and was the DP and lead editor.
The prop was an umbrella, the character was "Paul or Paula Perry, Detective", and the line of dialogue was "I meant to tell you a few days ago." We drew comedy as the genre which was exactly what we were hoping for.
This version differs slightly from the version we turned in:
- The audio levels are fixed so that everything is at a more reasonable volume
- We literally forgot to put in this one scene (with the megaphone), and cut out the end of one scene that we didn't realize made another scene make less sense. But, had we included it, the film would have been past the maximum length.
- we have a little black gap now between the show scene and the end
- we have actual full credits rather than a laundry list of names made in the interest of trying to get the film in on time
- a scene that was supposed to be in black and white now is
-Some minor color grading
Other than that it's pretty much identical. No new footage was shot for this version, and the editing is exactly the same in pretty much the whole film. Thanks very much to Cannon Coffee for letting us set up there all weekend!
