As I sat at the entrance of Wounded Knee making prayer ties and then praying with my personal prayer pipe, I was expecting to feel a lot of things, but peace was not one of them. As I looked out over where all those innocent people were murdered in 1890 and at the stand in 1973, where the church once stood. I walked to the Memorial ad read the names, left prayer ties, then went to Buddy Lamounts grave and prayed and left prayer ties, such peace came over me. I never wanted to leave ,

I heard this when my Mom was still alive-1989. I cried as I have heard this before from one of the male survivors of Wounded Knee as he was just one years old. It was spoken in only Lakota-English translation was given to those of us who no longer remembered how to speak Lakota. This song is told by another male survivor of Wounded Knee. RIP My Relatives-Love & miss you all so much!!
