(DHA) 11 companies received permission from the General Directorate of Mining Affairs for gold exploration at 37 locations on the Kaz Mountains.

It was determined that the companies conducted over 400 drillings and cut many trees in the region.

Environmentalists and villagers reacted to the situation and suggested that the gold exploration effects groundwater as well as damages the forest...

Environmentalists claim that nature will completely wiped-out on the Kaz Mountains if the companies start production...

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry took action upon the complaint and sent a team of two to the region.

The committee examining areas where exploration is being conducted and will determine if it is conducted without licenses.

The committee will also examine the region in terms of tree cutting and environmental damage, then will present a report to the Ministry...
