DUDE! You are awesome! You nailed my problem on the head. I checked the fuse and sure enough, it was open. I purchased a new fuse online, installed it, resoldered the terminals you mention in the video and... VOILE! After adjusting the convergence in Settings, the TV worked like new. Total cost, not including extra fuses, was about $4.00. Saved me about $1400.00 since I would probably have bought a new flat panel HDTV rather than have this relic repaired. Thanks again, you're awesome!

HELLO ALL!!!! I have a 55" RCA Thomson Consumer Electronics INC projection HDTV. Model #P61310 Serial #125630092 Chassis # DTV307GC. It won't power on. Before it happened it would power off by itself then eventually power up. Now it tries to power up but never gets there; you can actually here it trying to power up and green light blinks 3 times. I think it's a power supply problem but I could be wrong. I don't want to get rid of the tv, it has a great pic.

@nadikasam i'm going to try and replace the flyback and see if that works. I haven't had the money to get a new one yet so i will let you know probably next week sometime once i have a result.
@Miketar2424 - I read up on the problem at a couple of different locations, but I think originally it was a post at fixya.com that put me on the right track.
@MrBigjoe8 - when the entire picture gets blurry or has a particular tint, it could be one of the lamps that needs to be replaced. I'm not sure about his tv, but other tv's use a (dangerous and toxic) fluid to cool the 3 color tubes. When the fluid gets bad, it goes cloudy and sometimes leaks onto the components damaging them.

yeah, I had someone point that out a while ago. It is in fact 400mA, I said it wrong in the video.
I found mine on ebay looking for FL231...apparently this is a very common problem.
