Final Fantasy VII Fan Game Battle

An example battle of a Final Fantasy type map I am making using the Warcraft 3 Map Editor.

The project so far:
- Still in very early stages! (very limited story line)
- I have all the Final Fantasy VII playable characters available for use (including Sephiroth).
- Most materia is available with the expected functions, AP advancement and linking combinations.
- Weapons/Clothing (containing materia slots) and Accessories.
- Active time bar turn system.
- Up to 5 player multiplayer
- Chocobo catching, breeding, and racing.

how do you attack your enemy in this map? i tried but nothing happened and do i need to download something to let it attack?

If you are asking about on the world map. You don't fight them on the world map. You need to walk up to them and left click on the enemy unit (so you have them selected) and click fight (like you are buying an item from a neutral shop).

Once you are in battle take note of what you have selected on the menu (the menu is the multiboard top right of your screen). You use the 'WASD' as direction keys to navigate the menu and use the 'F' key for ok (these hotkeys are all you hero's abilities).

Awesome looking so far, but Final fantasy would never have the gay clicking system for the items :P Make it original :D Meaning.. a menu not the click thing and the big HUD menu at the botom. :D

Don't worry. Items have been accessed from the menu for a long time now; just like normal skills. I need to upload a new video to show this.

The menu has also been greatly updated.

I can't remove the HUD menu because it is part of warcraft 3, but you can completely ignore it if you chose to because you never have to look at it because everything on the top right final fantasy style menu uses hotkeys.

Congrats on defeating the chocobo eater.

A new update should be ready with-in the next 2 weeks, but it is mainly just improved menus and gameplay, not an extension of the story yet.

Yeah playing as Barret, this is made with Warcraft 3 which is a Real Time Stratergy (RTS) yes, but obviously the gameplay in my map is very different.
