THE SHAKINESS GOES AWAY, HONEST! It settles down after a minute or two. k8fan was shooting these shows handheld with no tripod and he was still getting situated at the beginning. Please be kind to the occasional jittery mistakes thereafter. Where we were sitting (perched on a stool!) he often got jostled because people had to pass by in front of us to get to the bathroom. It's so great that we have a record of this show and others.
Happy Rhodes at the Tin Angel in Philadelphia, PA on May 10, 1996, the 2nd of two shows that evening, and her 4th of 4 shows over 2 nights. This is the full show.
There are already clips on YouTube and for anyone familiar with the clips, this is the show where she starts the Queen song "Lily of the Valley" in the wrong key and blows everybody away. It's also the one where she forgets the lyrics to "Hold Me" and looks to an audience member (that would be me, Vickie) for help. I'm the one who calls out "You'll make it!" at the end there. (I also call out "Thank you" near the beginning and her "No problem" is so funny)
Kevin Bartlett on electric guitar, loops and sound effects, Carl Adami on bass, Happy Rhodes on vocals and acoustic guitar. No Kelly this time, unfortunately, but it is interesting to hear versions by the threesome.
Set list:
Words Weren't Made For Cowards

Save Our Souls
Lay Me Down
Lily Of The Valley*/Possessed
"Jork" (early version of her song "Many Worlds Are Born Tonight")
