Gizmo - Microsoft Kin Phones First Look

15- Get the first look at the much rumored and talked about phones that were previously called "Project Pink" and "The Turtle." Microsoft has finally unveiled two new social networking phones that look pretty cool! They are like the siblings of the Windows 7 Phones that are coming out soon with touch screens and slide out keyboards. The two devices are similar, the only difference is the size and a few specs bumped up on the Kin Two. Photos and videos are synced to the web automatically where they can be accessed on any computer. You can share your tweets, facebook updates, and more easily right from the main screen. One surprise is no apps on the phone. But for kids who just wanna text and tweet and keep up with their friends shooting pics and videos, these phones are looking to be the HOT item to have!

The phones will be coming to Verizon Wireless. Yes! There is WiFi and 3G, no Apps.

LOL This is so funny! They are so ugly! I never saw a phone so ugly like these! And they want to be a threat to Apple and the iPhone?!?! They are no threat to any phone company! @vuongph They are not ugly, they are designed mostly for the social networking kind of people, like teenagers, or Sidekick users...they are not made to compete with the iPhone...if that was the case, the phone would have apps...this isn't made to compete with Apple. Look at the Win 7 Phone if you wanna see an iPhone competitor.

Darn we hate when we find a little glitch in the video, sorry about the background flashing white when the Kin 2 shows...we would fix it, but so many people have already enjoyed the video, maybe we are just anal about it!

My god, i have a Zune a windows computer, an xbox360 and a windows mobile based phone but this is probably the ugliest design i have seen for a phone, and that coming from microsoft. What a letdown

@ItsOnBTV can you get apps for them? I am going on a trip to washington DC and I want to get a phone that has a bunch of the computer stuff I need to survive. Yeah, I am a computer geek. I am considering a Kin 2 phone... but I dont know if it has what I want. I need to be able to check my email... and watch videos I made on movie maker... is it able to watch youtube without additional costs? Can I check my email on a plane? I want to be able to do that. Can it do that?

@Glol3alCrisiis You have the KIN TwoM. There is no spot or loop. That's why you don't have to pay for data. They don't sell the Kin Two anymore...

It would be fine if they had apps like the rest of the windows phones. You can turn off the data and wtf is with people calling it ugly?

Not available in Europe...i hope they integrate many of the KINs features into Windows Phone 7...
