how was it that years ago an animal like steinberg wouldn't have lasted a week in prison some self righteous HERO with a conscience would have snuffed him out instead the pig lasted a few years and lived to brag about it. where does the animal live now and how does he hide out. he must know that one day someone an honorable vigilante will seek him out and do him in.

@fanblow I unfortunately remember this sad sick story in 1987, I had just moved to New York City after my marriage and I just had a baby and I had another one in '88. I couldn't believe what I was seeing on TV about this sick man Joel Steinberg! A narcissitic, self absorbed man who also beat his lady as well. She today is in hiding and helps other battered women like she was. She almost lost her leg due to his beatings! He beat Lisa as well. This story was so sad and just shocked the city.

@Lipafoe You do know Hedda was abused too? She never physically hurt or touched Lisa! Joel Steinbereg was a monster. Hedda was living in fear and tortured and drugged by Joel.

@Lipafoe I don't really think Hedda was evil. I believe that she feared she'd end up like little Lisa, if she were to do anything. Finally, she realised she'd loved Lisa too much to let her adopted daughter lie there, dieing on the floor. Hedda was just scared. Joel was to blame, completly.

Yes, she was Lisa Launders, and not the other name. She was never adopted legally by the evil persons Joel and Hedda.
