99' PONTIAC FIREBIRD HEADLIGHT MAKING AWFUL GRINDING NOISE.
TURNS OUT THE WORM GEAR IS METAL AND THE LIFT GEAR IS PLASTIC AND OF COURSE THE METAL WILL ALWAYS OUTLAST THE PLASTIC.

TOOK ME ABOUT AN HOUR TO FIX... ENJOY!

@orlytnl I just did a search and since I'm in Texas I went with the guy that make em in (I think) Katy Texas. Bought it on ebay!

@phartattack I just got a call to come and fix 2 headlights with the same problem... Sorry if my video makes it look easy.... It's not too difficult but you have to have at least medium mechanical skills to accomplish the task.

TIPS: 1) Remove the shiny metal cover 2) there are five 10mm nuts holding the headlight assembly 2 on each side and one towards the fender. the two inside screws have a hard plastic piece holding the nose of the car I pried that part out with the tire iron.

@phartattack NOTE: In the video It shows the motor with a connector, yours may be hard wired and you'll have to fix it in place.

There are 2 pivot screws (Hinges) that the headlight pivots on, remove those to make it more accessible. also remove the 10mm lift arm nut make sure to note how the arm lands on the hard plastic stops so you replace it the same way.
