Star Trek CGI Video: "2009 Fan-Made Teaser Trailer"

UPDATE 2-13-2008: Paramount Pictures has announced that the new Star Trek film will now be released in May 2009, not Christmas 2008 as originally planned.

We've heard precious little since the new Star Trek movie project was announced, and seen even less. I'm a little impatient, though, so I put together this teaser trailer as a kind of "video snack" until we get some real news about the film. I want to stress that this is purely a FAN-MADE project. I have nothing to do with the new film, nor any association with anyone at Paramount Pictures. Of course, if anyone from Paramount sees this little tribute and likes the idea, feel free to swipe it :-) Star Trek is your playground, I'm just playing in the sandbox.

ADDENDUM: I changed the title here to reflect the wishes of the film's producers that the new movie not be referred to as "Trek XI."

Nice work with the visuals. I didn't think the echo on the voiceover fit well.

@starsiegeplayer Glad you liked it, even though it's completely outdated now. I used the echo to try and cover the flatness of my voice due to nasal congestion from a cold I had when I recorded it. Wasn't entirely happy with the result either, but it was better than the actual, unfiltered recording. Thanks for writing!
