  • Just re-discovered this song great memories of childhood and wonderful evocative lyrics.Just been to the Lowry exibition,wonderful stuff and this song so perfectly sums up the great man.Well done lads a suberb legacy that still brings a tear to the eye.

  • This is the first time I've heard the song, and it's wonderful. Did it get any airplay over here in the States? There aren't many songs about painters around, and Starry Starry Night has been overplayed a bit, yes? BTW, halfway through the video I realized that matchstalk men is what we call stick figures over here!
