A team from Germanna Community College Information System Technology Assoc. Prof. Anita Sutton's system analysis design class took a third place in the 2011 VCCS Student Leadership Conference Showcase. The prize-winning project applied principles learned in the class to supporting charitable work--in this case the Fredericksburg Zombie Walk project. The students' effort raised money for the Fredericksburg Food Bank and Hope House.
The third place team consisted of Adriel Brooks, Katie Moncure, Robert Ayers, and Brandon Young. Members of the second team from Sutton's class were Brianne Headley, Robert Black and Joshua Levoy.
