Chip Taylor, the prolific songwriter and hitmaker, performs his song "Angel of the Morning" on Jan. 16, 2009. With him is the fantastic guitarist John Platania, who has toured for years with Van Morrison. This was a smokin' hot show, in a bookstore of all places! The most fun that was ever had in Borders, Columbus Circle! Old friends and some new fans enjoyed the show. Part of his book tour for "Songs From a Dutch Tour," which includes a CD.

Ok, off-topic. But I have to say that the new CD is fantastic! "Down by Law (Paint me on a Postcard)" is a classic. Close your eyes and let this one percolate through your brain. "rage of the outlaw," "outlaw Jesus ridin' on a horse," "just rippin' my mind." It is profoundly wonderful and a beautiful song.
