The GPS signal is received by the iGPS360 module from satellites in the sky (no internet needed for that). The maps and directions have been downloaded in advance to the iPod before I left home (so also no internet needed for that). :-)

or i think so..i mean when im on google maps dont even have to put my start in, there stands "actual location" already...
