Secondly, all the developed and "free" countries give their national language the priority. When was the last time u saw Chinese or French or German head of states talking in english? u will never see that.
My point is that the respect that we have for english and the "pride" we take when we talk in english, Urdu deserves it more then english does. This only shows that despite the fact that british r gone, we r still slaves. Hope i didn't hurt ur feelings.
My brother, i totally respect ur point of view and this is what ppl do in a free country. Every body is entitled to their opinion. My only intention is that Urdu is our national language, it should be given priority. We as Pakistanis will be known by Urdu not by english. English is the language of the British. I do understand that nowadays we need english to a certain extent, but if everything is in english despite the fact that we have a national language, i don't like it.
@arbaz1221 my purpose to reply was to tell you my point of view, and i would like to appologize in advance and i had said anything wrong, or if you think that i was trying to get personal with you.
@arbaz1221 PMA is an excellent academic institution. it has trained officers like Tikka Khan, who was inducted in army as a sepoy and they joined PMA and rosed to the rank of army chief and Ashfaq Kiyani, son of a Subedar, educated in a Government School and today is the army chief and ex DG ISI. he is the man who sits with US Top Military officials and has a great influence in war against terrorism. so if you will learn english, you will not become slave, it all depends on ur mentality!
@arbaz1221 because english is our official language, it is used in all the government offices as well as institutions. it is mandatory to speak english in PMA because PMA trains future officers of the Pakistan Army. when they speak in english; they learn to speak english. i hope you know one thing that 70-80% officers of Pakistan Army are from rural area, they are educated in the Sarkari Substandard Schools. they don't know how to speak english, but PMA made them learn english.
I dont understand why they have to talk in english at PMA. As a free nation they should be proud of using there own language, rather then showing that they are still slaves.
contd,
