I don't get the whole dancing thing in church...

Hmm whats to get? David danced before the Lord in the bible, why cant we? Its an act/expression of worship to the Lord.

@keza1981 David did so because he was under the influence of the God's Spirit. I find it hard to compare the inspired dancing of David to choreographed drama dancing that I see in many churches, including my own. If the Spirit moves one to dance, I say, "Dance!", but if not... don't. I just think the whole ruse is another attempt of churches to make church more 'interesting' and getting away from the true purpose of fellowship.

Oh well thats your personal opinion/conviction & I respect that but I don't share the same conviction as you.

The girl dancing is my cousin & I know her walk with God is very pure & true, she has a desire to please God & do everything to Glorify Him. This is simply an expression of her worship & love towards God as is the same for us singing & playing an instrument.

hi, sorry for the late reply.. thanks for the comment. We didnt use a backing, we had keys, bass and drums live :o)

@TexasVagabond TexasVagabond hmmm well it does say in the bible everything that has breath praise the lord an we dance an do human videos to show a story and the ONLY reason we dance to these kinds of songs that she is singing and others is b/c the blood of jesus that was spilled set us free from the devils chains he's put on us...

@keza1981 anything that isn't sin and attracts unsaved to christ must be a good thing right?

It's not faked movement by the spirit either as I belive you get moved yourself when doind drama for God.

I see your view and it's a very logical question, but I belive the logical answer is that even if it does not strenghen the fellowship among christians, it does attract unsaved to become saved thus doing Gods will that way.

@TexasVagabond God leads people to worship differently...some people sing, some dance, some run and jump. it doesnt matter how a person worships so long as they do it for God and God alone

We are free from the law...we don't have to DO anything...The Lord loves us because that is who he is. We are loved apart from our performance. I have had to learn how to rest in His wonderful presence...this was wonderful...thank you for blessing my spirit!!
