@Ried1982 , The lyrics are from the poem "Axion Esti" of Nobel award winner Greek poet Odysseas Elytis. Maybe you can find the poem in english if you google it! Anyway, it talks about Democracy and how much struggle is needed to achieve it. It s one of the most famous greek poems and songs and it used to remind to us Greeks the dark years of the Dictatorship (1967-1974). Of course at that time it was illegal to play this song and all the songs of Mikis Theodorakis.
