Advanced Tutorial: Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) - Seperate Audio Sources

So want to know how to go prank your friends in Ventrillo, Team Speak, or Mumble? Well this is one way to do it :P (but that is not why I am teaching you so I am not liable for you being an ass)

I created some advanced usage of VAC (Virtual Audio Cable) so that I may increase the entertainment value of my live stream show. I wanted to use sound cues like commonly found on radio shows but I did it in a totally nerdy way all computerized and digitized.

This tutorial builds upon what I taught you in the first video (2 USB Microphones at the same time) by exposing some techniques and ideas of what you can do with VAC. So even if you never need to do what I did in this tutorial it will probably teach you the means and knowledge you needed to do something else that is advanced in the same manner.

Common requests I have seen is have music playing so that only you can hear it and not viewers of a live stream. That can be done easy with a similar setup.

Alternatively have music playing that only your viewers can hear but not yourself, that is also easy to achieve with a similar setup to this one.

So I hope to not only just teach my setup I use for my show, but teach you techniques that you can apply to your own personal setups.

Hello there, thank you for the tutorial, it got me playing around trying stuff :)

Now I am trying to set up my stream so pple would just hear the sound of my video game without hearing whats being said on mumble. It sounds simple but after 2 hours I'm still not there and I'm thinking I might miss something...

It would be nice if you could help me out and give me some pointers ;)

Can you do ducking? My real mic is picking up the sound from headphones, and it's echoing. When I'm playing a clip I want the clip to have priority over my real mic. If it could mute my real mic while the clip is playing that would be best. Any ideas? Thanks

FINALLY I can repeat youtube to my speaker playback along with mic playback. Thanks a mil, this solved my issue =] I didnt realize repeating multiple times was even an option lol.. (i.e. having more than 1 repeater open and active at a time).  Silly me
