Hope this helps some of you who are thinking of going to Japan for exchange. I went with the exchange company AFS and I was overall quite happy with them.. My LP was an incredible person, she's like my 3rd mother to me.. really nice and really cared for me. I was put together with 2 other wonderful people in my chapter and sent to a great school.. I had a couple of conflicts with AFS but I guess it can't be helped..

I guess in terms of the rules, all exchange companies are the same.. you don't get to choose where you want to go and it really just depends on your luck.. same with Rotary and JFIE(AIIU)..

Thank you to all the exchange students who allowed me to interview them, really appreciated it!!!

  • Im going hopefully spring 2012, Watching this video kinda shocked me, Im not trying to be mean to a select few people on there but if you didnt spend time trying to learn japanese why even go, or if you thought it was completely boring then what a waste. I would love to go and I have to bust my butt for im a 15 year old and to make over 12,000 dollars to go with afs with poor parents is not easy.

  • I aspire to become an exchange student, and it always makes me sad to see people leave. I hope I can one day experience it as well.
