Lyrics:
Welcome to the pleasure dome ,now take a seat the crowd is watching you

Just rats in this experiment

Now learn the maze but don't tear yourself in two

Don't let it pull you down

And one by one we crawl, and two by two

Into the mouth of madness, we seek the perfect view

We reach another turn then fall out of time

In organized chaos

Evolution 169

You can touch but never taste the answers

Like the way that I want you

Today I killed my ego,if hell is real

Dear god please tie my noose
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/n/nevermore/evolution_169.html ]
And then he pulled me down

And one by one we crawl, and two by two

Into the mouth of madness we seek the perfect view

We reach another turn then fall out of time

In organized chaos

Evolution 169

And one by one we crawl, and two by two

Into the mouth of madness we seek the perfect view

We reach another turn then fall out of time

In organized chaos

Evolution 169

And one by one we crawl, and two by two

In Organized Chaos, we fly away

Don't set your mind to one side

Don't set your mind to one side

Nevermore Evolution 169 Track # 4 of Dead Heart In A Dead World Released October 17 through Century Media Records

Dead Heart in a Dead World is the fourth studio album by heavy metal band Nevermore, released in July 2000. In a style comparable to a darker, heavier Queensrÿche, its songs range topics such as criticism of drug possession penalties to rejection of religion. The album also features a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's hit, "The Sound of Silence". It is also notable for being Nevermore's first record utilizing seven-string guitars.
The album featured one single in the track "Believe in Nothing."

  • Where is disintegrate? Its not the best on the album but it has a badass opening.

  • @Reigndear666 True, this music is as timeless, especially with the impossibly perfect production values - but hey, Andy Sneap productions are almost always perfect, except this one even more so because on this album he did *everything* from production to mastering.

  • @MrCandlish i have an idea...

as 169 is the square number of 13 it might be a reference to the 'as bad as possible'. They sing about the current generations and they blindness, so it's a possible explanation i believe.

  • @druidabaszki I want to know what it means too. If anyone has the answer, please share it with us :)

  • is it only me who started thinking about this "169"?

  • is just amazing!!
