  • Can I use a password to login to this mapped unit but let the guest come and share my printer without having to login with a password?

I have tried to use a password using the command "net user guest xxx" and it works well enough to avoid other network users, BUT I need to allow these users to use my printer ONLY. Can you please help me?

I also tried to create a new user (right click on My PC, Manage, Users... create) and then share one carpet only with that passw user. But I doesn't work.

  • cant you just do a simple share on the printer, and pw protect the mapped drive?

  • Too bad this only works for Chris >(

  • It should be generic as long as you remember that this particular tutorial was done using a folder on a separate drive.

Sorry you had trouble with it.
