  • I had to actually brace myself in my chair watching you all jump out of that plane.

    Can only imagine the rush!

  • The rush is intense Curt, and lots of fun.

  • You saw the size of this plane, it was very simalar to the one you jumped out of.

  • The "bigger planes"?? Oh no, I'd be going up 13,000 feet in a little mini 4 seater, wouldn't I? That'll be another 10 drops of Lavender, 10 drops of Chamomile, and another 20 drops of Valerian, please!!

Thank you for the warning, those 000 capsules will be quite helpful!

  • Yeah, you can only realy stand jumping out of the bigger planes. The four tandem jumps I've done in New Zealand, I haven't yet done any Tandem jumps here in Australia yet. However from what I've seen they mostly sit.

  • Yep, sounds about right for me out in Lodi, California.

  • Oh my gosh! Yeah, I noticed y'all were sitting down. I thought it was just a New Zealand thing or something. You guys sit down and get pushed in Australia too? And thanks for the tip. I'll try and remember to confirm wherever I jump that it will be licensed by the APF. The Parachute Center where I go (according to the website) only employs people licensed by the United States Parachute Association (USPA), so I guess all Joe had to do was transfer a licence or something since he's from Brisbane.

  • It's strange, for some reason I find it quite easy to jump, doing this stuf on Youtube is much harder. They say those who have jumped alot still get nervious it's only natural. The main thing to make sure where ever you jump are members of the Australian Parachute Federation. I noticed in you jumps you where standing up, most of the Australian tandem place you are siting down so once you dangle your feet out the door they push you out.

  • Dang, you've done some STUFF! It always encourages me to hear someone say "It gets better all the time", what with my apprehension when I get to the Parachute Center no matter how many times I've jumped. If I get accepted to go to Australia this coming July and Alice and/or Anthony come out here to visit me and want to do this, I'm wondering if the apprehension on top of anticipation of spending a year on the other side of the world only a few weeks later will make it more difficult for me.

  • Hiya Chrissy, yeah i've given this one a go too, this was my forth tandem skydive! It's awesome fun, such an intense adrenaline indusing experience.

Most people 2 is stonger than 1, but in my case 2 doesn't exist for me.

A: They do that so the can see going out the door, co-ordinate with the video guy. You will also notice I have my hands on my chest, you do that so there not flaying about, once the jump master levels off you see him taping my sholder for me to put out my hands.
