Hello , I'm a 35 healthy woman, 125 pounds, 5'2. I want to fix my pregnancy hanging skin but i'm scared to death of general ANESTHESIA!!!! is there a sort of test doctors can preform in order to determine if the patient can handle going under? The thought of not waking up from the surgery prevents me from performing the tummi tuck.
Hey Tardson, Doctor will ask u to come in for Pre-op for a health questionair. He also will ask u not to smoke before surgery. Smoking before surgery can minify blood flow to the heart. Harvey J. Woehlk, M.D., found that those who smoked during the last 24 hours before outpatient surgery with general anesthesia were having episodes of inadequate oxygen supply to the heart 20 time more than those who were non-smokers, ex-smokers. I had surgeries done before, so go for it and good luck
I have had this procedure done in April 2009.. full tummy tuck with liposuction along with muscle tightening.. totally worth it ! i had a horrible stomach after 3 pregnancies.. it doens't hurt at all.. just a bit uncomfortable to stand for the first day or 2...
wow! this is the best illustration I have seen thus far...the muscle repair is what interested me in this video. I have 3 kids and wear a size 20 because of my stomach. I really should be a size 12/14, which i would be extremely happy with, but for now I look about 5 months pregnant. I also suffer from lower back pain due to the extra weight and bulging in my abdomin area. I wonder if it is a way to get it covered by insurance if it would relieve lower back pain?
This can be quite p[ainful. We tend to use a pain pump which significantly diminishes the pain. The incision varies on the amount of associated loose skin. The muscle repair itself can be performed through small incisions if that is all that is required. Results are visible almost immediately but we generally recommend that you avoid strenuous activity for 6 weeks.
