I remember when money was better (and I had good Sokoto, Nigerian, tailor contacts) that I would only wear clothes like the elder at 1:30 and only wore athletic clothes for running and lifting weights. I work for myself (imported tribal African arts, gold/silversmith, shea butter, black soap, etc…) and could afford to “go all out with it” with the beads, long hair and beard, etc… -- it was actually good for business (my business suits). I love Sahelian and Nigerian West-African clothes best.
