  • In slow pitch the shortstop and third baseman have to stop ground balls that are hit very hard and the outfielders still have to get a read on the ball and throw it in. Yeah, the catcher's job isn't nearly as hard as baseball and the pitching isn't as difficult to do but that doesn't mean that slow pitch is a joke.

  • @wookieeassassin Slow pitch Secret: You need a pitcher who throws strikes and a good defense, you got that you will win most of your games.

  • i love the people who thinks playing softball is a joke but they have never played.

  • I pitch in a D league and I throw a lot of junk, however, with the really good hitters that stuff doesn't really matter. What I find really helps is pitch placement; for example if a hitter is standing at the back of the box I pitch low arc and just over the plate, if he is up in the box high arc to the back of the mat. If he is crowding the plate high and inside if he is away low outside. What this does is force him to move his feet, more moving parts in a swing it is hard to make good contact

  • I'll blow middle on you laced up

  • Nice vid.... Greetings from Mat from you know where lol

  • Great video. I pitch all over the place and only throw strikes when i have a full count. I jam people and make them chase balls. It's frustrating when people tell you to just throw strikes. I could throw strikes 95% of the time if i wanted, but that doesn't make you a good pitcher. The knuckleball works great when it is windy.

  • This guy knows what he is talking about. Ive been a pitcher for 5 years now.

  • Great pitching! Pitching is a lot harder than it looks. When I put a team together, I make sure to get a good pitch 1st.

  • @Madnessonman I am the editor. Each pitch took 3 takes, and almost all are in that video. Malach never misses his targets. Trust me.

  • This actually is the best video i've seen on youtube describing slowpitch softball pitches. Most are geared towards fastpitch. So...THANKS for the tips!

  • Im the pitcher for our D team and pitching is friggin hard!!!! Some pitchers lunge, some just stand there and throw it without lungeing....some people palm the ball...other's don't. I can't seem to find a consistant strike throwing strategy and it's getting frustrating. And im LMFAO at the guy that said that he don't play Bobby Sox...ahahahahaha!!! That was funny :)

  • ... since I've been throwing strikes more consistently, I've started playing around with ball placement. I'm actually a righty but I like pitching that "reverse curve" that comes inside on right-handed hitter. I got lots of guys to foul out the last couple of games with that. My team is still getting their butts kicked because we have no offense, but if I can strike out girls looking and get guys to foul out, that will help my team a lot. Plan on using some of your tips in the future. Thanks

  • I've been pitching on my D league team for a few seasons and I walk a lot of players. We play co-ed and my team is pretty much the only team in the league that doesn't tell its girls not to swing. I figured out that my main problem with accuracy was that I always brought my arm across my body (like a sidearm) when I pitched. So, rather than fight it, I decided to go with it the last couple of games and I actually struck out several girls looking just by adjusting my aim to fit my release...
