First of all, I'd like to apologize for the baby voice, but I can't help it, and also my two roommates talk occasionally and take pictures.
This is Pookie, I found him outside my campus library at 2am the morning of Saturday September 17th. I was walking the opposite way but I heard screaming and thought a bird was being attacked so I went to investigate. It was about 50 degrees that night and this little guy had fallen a good 30 feet from his nest onto the sidewalk. Luckily, he had no external injuries. I kept him for a few days until he opened his eyes and began to eat regularly and be very active, then after attempting to reconnect him with his mom I ended up taking him to Frisky's Wildlife and Primate Sanctuary.
Here's a link to their donation page if you are in a frisky, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed mood after watching this :) http://www.friskys.org/friskys_how_to_help.htm
He was too young to make it out into the wild before it got cold (he wouldn't have enough time to learn all the social and practical skills he'd need to gather food, make a nest and survive the winter) so he is being kept at the sanctuary until the spring.
