Alina Somova 2003 8th Year Vaganova Graduation Acting Class Exam

In the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet Acting class Exams at the end of the school year, all students must perform in the acting stage. most students perform more than one piece. This was Alina Somova's final piece in her acting exam. Her first piece was a very long section from Roland Petit's Notre Dame De Paris, a dramatic section, like this piece in this video. It is unusual for a student to have two highly dramatic numbers with many students doing comic or joyful pieces. Obviously, the teacher recognized Alina's immense natural acting skills and gave her two extremely difficult pieces to perform in her exam.
Alina graduated at the age of 17.

@theamazingsoter This is not necessarily true. Lopatkina and Tereshkina maintain their teenaged bodies throughout their adult careers. On the other hand, to say that Somova became womanly is an overstatement. Physically she hasn't changed much, it is her dancing that became more mature.
