  • *Also,@105km, since youre such the hyena expert, do u plan on doing any Tributes to their extinct relatives, Pachycrocuta, and Chasmaporthetes? U did one for da sabertooth cats!

  • @oxyaena

Maybe. If anything, id rather do a tribute to the extinct birds, like the haast eagle, terror birds, dromonis, argentavis and so on. And I would also make one for the extinct artiodactyle predators, like the mesonychids or the intelidon. Just something about a predator with hooves... xD

Hey, oxyaena - do you think the thylacine is truly extinct or do you think its still hiding somewhere in Tasmania? I think its such a tragedy - the only large marsupial predator and we kill it off:(

  • Also, @105km?, u REALLY should figure out a better moniker, ive already decided that the so called predatory lemur, was in fact, a giant Pleistocene fossa! No written referrence was EVER recorded of such a rapacious lemur. And just because something is SAID on celluloid, doesnt make it fact! Also, ENUFF wit da biological/intellectual pissing contest...

  • @oxyaena

alright, Il lay off the biology xD

also, whats a moniker? Im not from an english speaking country, so I dont know.

Actualy, I dont know wery much about Madagascar. All I know is: I find it hard to imagine a predatory lemur

  • Actually, NONE OF THESE! The insects will take over. Welcome to the Age of the Arthropods! Watchout for that sabertooth cockroach or flying scorpions! BUTT, if just one knocked up rat survives, ITS ALL OVER!!! The mammals shall return to The Worlds Throne...

  • @oxyaena

well, I dont think that really matters. When tiktalic (the first fish/amphibian) first came to the land 370 million years ago, arthropods had already been living there for atleast 100 million years.

    Cheers

  • Suite yourself. But im telling u now, that tributes to most of the giant birds on this site have been done to death! And so has Andrewsarchus and Entelodon. Surprisingly, theres also one on Arctocyon! Maybe try Pachyaena, Mesonyx, the sabertooth Anacodon or maybe an early whale? You will never get nowhere following the herd...

  • *Thats better. A moniker is your handle, or a name u call yourself...@105km,@oxyaena, @bullballz, etc. And i agree with ur Lemur theory. Even tho monkeys occasionally eat meat, i wouldnt call them carnivores. The skeleton was DEFINITELY a GIANT PLEISTOCENE FOSSA!!!

  • *BUTT,@105k,u dont know what type of environmental variables that took place back then. Too much oxygen in the atmosphere, the insects became GIANTS! This Earth is anything but stable. And oftentimes, entire species have been rendered extinct because of just plain bad luck. Touche*
