Have you ever wondered what goes into your can of tuna fish? Turtles, smaller fish, marine mammals and even some species of tuna are at risk from pirate fishing and irresponsible fishery management. As more and more people get an appetite for tuna, less and less can be found in the seas. Watch the Greenpeace video and open up a can of truth.

You can learn more about tuna and the the seafood industry at http://greenpeace.org/seafood

A huge thanks goes out to DJ Rap and Impropa Publishing for letting us use their song "Bulletproof Nation."

  • @Pothila Pole and line caught tuna? The canned tuna you are discriminating against is line caught in the USA. Its called Albacore and its caught by hook and line trolling/polling on the west coast. Congrats on misinformation. This video shows multi thousand dollar bluefins and multi hundred dollar big eyes being the containing ingredients in a 2$ can of albacore? Nice job promoting demise and discrimination towards one of the most sustainable tuna fisheries!

  • Hope more people watch this propoganda video and stop eating Tuna. More tuna for me!!! :D

  • @throwerofturds Some companies such as Chicken of the Sea do own seining vessels or do purchase seined albacore and even skipjack Tuna. So the fishery isn't comprised primarily of line caught but some of it is. All the footage except for the split second where skipjacks were rolling across the conveyor was void of truth in regards to canned albacore. Greenpeace is currently seeking the lawful restriction of FAD's, which is okay for they aren't needed and attract various species unwanted.

  • @strikenetter

these people are fear mongers and have no worries about a few little lies .

  • @m15kee Eat moar tunas!

  • lol look at the the dead stuff

  • And still ever so tasty!!

  • Just a suggestion for greenpeace... i'm a medium enviromentalist, i do co-driving, use eco product, local or regional products (expecially beer miam!) and recycle but try not to do say beef is evil, your a filthy whore if you teach yuor kids to eat meat... I know its not every one from greenpeace who says quite like this but there's a few... And its quite anoying... I remember one my friends saying to my biology teacher that he was eating beef for dinner and he wasnt ashamed of it... quite funny

  • Thanks, now I'm fuckin starving!!!!!!!!

  • Ultimately, humans need food. How do we get food? We have to harvest it like we did when we were part of the food chain.

The rate is unsustainable I agree but the issue is what are we going to eat? Vegetables? Fruits and nuts? Dun they come from living things too? Chemical foods is worse. We need protein and animals are protein.

There is a solution if we want to not eat animals: cannibalism. Hey, there are too many humans anyway.

We either find sustainable food sources or eat each other.
