This is a video of SBS2888T, the only Scania L94UB in the SBS Transit fleet in Singapore.
In 1998, SBS Transit introduced its only Swedish-built Scania L94UB single-decker, with an Australian-built Volgren CR221L body. It became the second super low floor bus to serve in Singapore.
Scania L94UB is a city bus chassis with its engine being fitted at the rear horizontally. Purchasers can choose between 2-axle and 3-axle design depending on their need, where SBS2888T belongs to 2-axle, 12-metre design. The disc brakes on the bus provide stable retardation, while the ABS ensures safe operation. What is more, the advanced Scania-built engine can effectively reduce the hazardous chemicals produced. SBS2888T is regarded as "21st Century Bus", with slogans on both sides of the bus to publicize its up-to-date design. It used to serve route 7 in the past, and it is now serving Express route 518 which starts from Pasir Ris and loops at Marina Centre. The bus has been painted in standard SBS Transit livery.
