Trying to compare Solomon to Sam Cooke and and Brook Benton is quite stupid. Each had a different Style and different type of voice. Otis Redding also did this song and people said he was no Sam Cooke but I told them "NO HE'S NOT SAM COOKE BUT HE GOT HIS POINT ACROSS OFF ON THIS SONG" Solomon's point is more of a message, and besides he is a was a Bishop with several churches. This is one of best versions of this song that I've ever heard. Also Aretha had a great version, check her out

An old Solomon, but it sounds like Solomon

I like the way he takes the "change" beyond racial equality in the US..at the the end when he mentions different conflicts throughout the world...then people...change for us all....always a thoughtful man

@DerSeppe there have been a lot of covers of this song...I like Burke's version...his voice is distinctive...as your mom knew....I had the preliedge to see him just before he passed, when he was so heavy he could not stand...still he sat on a throne and his voice was just about as good as ever and he put on a great show..with many of his children in the show..I believe he has about 28 children...he gave out long stem red roses to the women in the audience, and tee shirts to the men...great!
