Orlando Attractions Magazine - The Show host Samantha Sanders shows you how to make hot Butterbeer at home. This is an unofficial recipe.
You'll need:
1 liter of cream soda
2-3 tbsp of butter
2-3 tbsp of brown sugar
¾ cup heavy whipping cream
4 or 5 Werther's Original hard candies
2-4 shots of butterscotch schnapps (optional, depending on the age of Muggles)
Whipped cream

Bring the cream soda to a boil.
Melt the butter and brown sugar together until the sugar has dissolved.
Pour the butter and sugar mixture into the boiling cream soda.
Add the heavy whipping cream.
Add the Werther's Originals, stir continuously until they melt.
Add the Butterscotch Schnapps shots if you'd like.
Top it off with some whipped cream.
Serve hot and enjoy!

  • how hot do u need to make the stove please answer back!!!!!! :)

  • @RancidAppleProducts The cream soda needs to boil, so the stove needs to be on medium-high to high heat the whole time. That's why we recommend putting ice in it before serving. The finished product is literally boiling hot.

  • Is whipping cream like cool whip?

  • @HoshiHikari Heavy Whipping Cream is not the same as cool whip - it's a liquid found in the dairy section where you would buy milk or creamer for coffee. It's usually right near the half & half, and it should say "Heavy Whipping Cream."

  • Instead of werthers, how much liquid caramel topping could I use? Does two tablespoons sound good?

  • @HoshiHikari I think 2-3 tbs would probably be equivalent to 4-5 Werther's, but as far as the taste equivalent, I'm not sure. I'd recommend starting with 2 tbs caramel or butterscotch topping, and if it's not sweet enough, they can always add more.

  • a liter of cream soda, half a stick of butter, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, 200 milliliters of cream, 5 hard candies, a few shots, and whipped cream... i'm guessing it's not a diet drink... but it's still worth it...
