The reason why the democrats and republicans meet in the shadows to keep third parties out is because they know that if each of them only have to compete with each other, each of them is guaranteed to win at least almost half of the time.

There should be a coalition of third parties to try to push through between elections into publics attention. Not just of progressive parties, but also of conservatives too. United in the purpose of letting the different voices in America heard. And as a flag they should have the "don't treat on me" slogan written under the imagine of a segmented snake, to invoke the greatest spirit of American liberty.

fivestarmichael & tomisinsaigon, I agree. I am making a point of voting, when possible, for any 3rd party candidate running for local, state and national elections from now on. I am doing my part to slowly change the established duopoly one ballot pin prick at a time!

MidiPunk, one can tell that initially the trooper was not in inclined to being respectful until Ralph started talking and then he realized he wasn't dealing with some "radical nut" or whomever he was told to go kick out.
