I think the two videos show the same story from two different perspectives, the girl and the boy. The boy belives that there is a barier between them, which he needs to destroy. Waiting for that to happen broke him.

The girl is making choices which are taking her away from the paradise she could have, as she lets the good things pass her by. It is hard to tell why she does this, because we are still being told the story by PJ, not her. The boy's story is PJ's
