man you are wrong..i am from greece and kahi tell me the real story.systsov was alekseev favorite so he wants to win.kahi's best snatch was 190 fron the floor and 200 from high blocks before the games.

  • There is no truth about Alexyev holding back Kaki so the other Russian can win.If you watch the video, everything unfloded the way it should be.Kaki's personal best in the snatch is 177.5,he struggled with 175 KG, o to jump him to 180 would risk missing it.He needed 230 to win if Sergio missed 225.5,but he made it on the last attempt the 225 was justifiable for 2,also 225 KG was important because it forced the polish to 232.5 which he could not do.Then when he had the silver, he went for gold.

  • At 2:56 he was referring to Ibragim Samadov the first man who is stripped from a medal and banned for life for refusing to take the Bronz medal when he was heavily the favorite to win the gold. The ban for life was over the top. Samadov set high standards for himself, gold or nothing, the IOC should not have banned him for refusing to take the bronze, certainly not for lifetime

  • Kaki, no belt no knee straps 235kg overhead what power!

  • It is sad to see the late Vassili Alexeev in the background.R.I.P Big feller.

  • Thanks for this. Way better than the edited version you posted a while back.

  • that was a ridiculous clean from the polish guy at the end!

  • @freshchoresh EUN was the Unified team. It was a collection of lifters from the newly former USSR. Following the 92 games, there was Russia and then a host of other countries.

  • What does it mean when the country is "EUN"? the lifter is representing more than one country? or no county? i have no idea
