NY Islanders v. Toronto Maple Leafs (Feb. 28, 1978)

Before their classic playoff confrontation in '78, the Islanders and the Leafs squared off in this matchup at Nassau Coliseum. Armed with rookie sniper Mike Bossy, the Isles had finally seized first place from the Flyers and were charging towards their first-ever Patrick Division championship, with a 37-13-11 record entering this game. For their part, the Leafs were on fire under first-year coach Roger Neilson; they entered this game with a 4-game winning streak and only one loss in their last 12 games. The teams split the first two games of the season series. I have fond memories of that ol' scoreboard...

That was the best Leafs team in the 70's. Hard to believe it was soon to be dismantled by Imlach. Really enjoyed watching this. Thanks for posting!
